Coming out as a bipolar artist, director Jon Biddle takes us on a journey of courage and crisis using archival footage, interviews, and photographs. We follow Jon as he seeks help, becomes diagnosed, and eventually ceases his medication to quickly find himself in the midst of another manic episode. He must now find the strength in himself and the loved ones around him to rise up and become healthy once again. Popular notions and stereotypes become uncloaked and expose bipolar disorder for what it truly is: a mental disorder that does not inhibit personal or professional success when treated with medication and a positive lifestyle. As Jon demonstrates, bipolar disorder does not define an individual; it is instead just a piece of their overall story.
